Turn on the gas fireplace and unwind in the living room, or head down to the game room for air hockey, cornhole, or to catch on a game on the Smart TV. Out your front door is a hot tub for soaking your cares away, and a firepit for family smores time. Catch some zzz's in the hammock in the summer, or head out back and explore the greenbelt where you can hop on the greater Angel Fire Trail System. It's all here waiting for you! The house comfortably sleeps up to 10, across 4 bedrooms (2 kings, 2 queens) and a curtained-off kids room with bunk beds, as well as 2-1/2 bathrooms. At Mountain Serenity Rentals, we believe you deserve all the things you need for a great stay, and don’t want to nickle and dime you for them. Our homes are stocked with firewood for fireplaces and fire pits, propane for gas grills, detergent for laundry machines, and all the basics for kitchens and bathrooms, from coffee pots to hair dryers! We've thought of it all! If you are ever missing something during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out! BEDROOMS/SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Our home is situated over 3 floors, with bedrooms on each level. The top floor is home to two bedrooms, one with a king bed, and one with a queen, as well as a full bathroom with tub shower. The top floor opens out to look over the main living space and expansive windows, giving great views of the valley below. On the main floor, you will find the main suite with a king-size bed and private access to the back deck. This suite also features a walk-in closet and attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. The main floor also has a half bath for use by the main living space and bottom floor bedrooms. On the lowest level is the game room with two attached sleeping spaces. One features a queen bed, desk, and door that closes, while the other is a curtained-off area with a set of twin-over-twin bunks for the kiddos. This lower space is great if you have a larger group of kids or younger kids you would like to sleep in earshot of. Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, shampoo, and body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap. LIVING AREAS: Your group will love the setup of this house when it comes time to lounge. You have the option to spread out or hang together thanks to our multiple living areas on the main and lower levels. On the bottom floor is the game room with sectional sofa and smart TV as well as air hockey and board games. This area makes a great kid zone or is perfect for a whole family movie night. On the main level, there is plenty of comfy furniture to be had as well as a gas fireplace for turning up the cozy vibes. The living room space is part of the larger great room, combining living, kitchen, and dining rooms into one great space, all with magnificent views of the meadow behind. Want to play a game or build a puzzle? Go for it! There is a small eating table as well as a larger dining room table for your use, so you'll never have to worry about packing it up before meal times. Visiting in the winter? One of our favorite things is when you are in the house during a snowstorm – watching the snow fall across the valley onto the trees is just magical. Almost as magical as strapping on your snow shoes and heading out into it! KITCHEN/DINING Making and sharing meals is another vacation favorite, and so we provide everything you need. Our kitchen features stainless appliances, a double oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers (regular and Keurig), blender, griddle, and crockpot. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. In addition, we have a cabinet full of olive oil, flour, sugar, and spices to get you started. Love to grill? We have you covered with a propane gas grill on the back deck and a spare tank in the garage. The grill is located under cover so you can get your grill master on no matter the season. For dining, we have several options in the great room area. Our larger dining space features a huge family-style table with seating for 8, whereas the centrally located breakfast nook has a smaller table for 4. There are also 2 barstools at the kitchen counter, great for snacking, breakfast, or chatting with the chef while they work. ENTERTAINMENT INDOORS: Indoors we aim to provide all you need for a great time. The home has high-speed wifi if you need to get some work done, or just to catch up on your favorite shows on your own devices. The upstairs living room features a gas fireplace for cozy times spent reading or relaxing with the views. As well as a sound system with radio or the option to connect your phone and play your tunes. The game room has an air hockey table, SmartTV with DVD player, a card table, and puzzles and games. There is also a SmartTV and DVD player in the main suite. ENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS: Mountain Serenity provides the perfect setting for fun family memories outdoors. The back deck is a great place to soak in the mountain air or watch the plentiful wildlife in the valley below, best at dawn or dusk. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening happy hour in a rocking chair with the sound of the trees all around. The back deck also features a propane gas grill for cooking out no matter the season. Want to relax in the hot tub or make some smores instead? Head out front! The front yard has a firepit with a stocked wood pile for family gatherings in winter or summer. On the front porch is the hot tub, perfect for relaxation after a long day skiing or hiking. As well as a high-top table for eating outdoors, and a porch swing, perfect for watching summer storms or winter snowfall. Relax in the hammock in the yard and watch the kids explore the woods beside the house. Mountain Serenity is situated on 3 wooded lots, meaning plenty of exploring to do, forts to be built and games to be invented. We love watching kids enjoy this great property. Just behind the house is a protected greenbelt valley and the Elk Trail hiking trail. This trail connects to the greater Angel Fire Trail system. From here you can walk into town, or ramble into the other valleys and protected meadows around Angel Fire. We suggest checking out the AllTrails app if you would like to plan a longer hike. You will start on the Elk trail, which runs through our greenbelt meadow. LAUNDRY ROOM/MUDROOM Entering the house from the garage is our mud room/laundry room. It has ample hooks for coats and rubber mats for boots. We have a front-load washer and dryer with provided detergent and dryer sheets. There is also another area inside the front door with boot mats and a hall closet for coats, so you're all set no matter where you enter. PARKING/GARAGE: When you get to the house, there is a single-car garage you are welcome to park in. Our house sits down from the road so the driveway slopes down to the house. For this reason, we highly recommend backing down the driveway as it is much easier when trying to leave again, especially in the snow. We spend a lot of time and expense maintaining the driveway so that it’s easy for people to get down and less intimidating for those who aren’t used to driving in the snow. However, if you aren’t comfortable backing down there is a parking spot about halfway, and you are always welcome to park at the top of the hill. Our property manager will have the driveway plowed and cindered after a storm, but you can request additional plowings at any time should you need it. Due to the slope of the driveway and abundant snow in the winter months, we strongly suggest having 4WD or snow chains for your vehicles. Note: for your protection and ours, we have security cameras that monitor the exterior entry points at the front of the house and the rear. HAVE A LARGER GROUP OR WANT A DIFFERENT PROPERTY?
