All this and so much more is waiting for you, with valley views and abundant wildlife to boot. Some things we know you'll love: ** Greenbelt views and trail system access. The house backs up to a swath of protected valley, lush with native plants and local wildlife. In the spring and summer elk can be spotted playing in the seasonal pond out back, as well as bobcats, mule deer, and more. This valley is also part of the larger Angel Fire Trail system, great for hiking, biking, or snowshoeing depending on weather. ** Three King bedrooms and two living rooms! This home has plenty of space for the whole gang, with room to spread out or spend time together. Three king bedrooms means less fighting over the main suite, and two living rooms, less fighting over the remote! ** Fireplaces, Fire pits, Fire Tables, oh my! Love a good fire? Us too! This home has 2 wood-burning fireplaces inside, 3 propane-powered fire pit tables on the upper deck, and a fire pit in the yard. Don't forget your smores supplies at this one! (and don't worry, we provide the firewood) ** The house has radiant floor heating, meaning your toes will always be toasty warm! ** The ultimate family fun destination! We have all the amenities for the whole gang. Unwind in the hot tub on the back deck, use the hilly side of the property for sledding, start a foosball or shuffleboard tournament in the lower living room, or play a game on the large dining table. And don't forget to have a movie night on the sectional couch with recliners. No matter the ages, your group will love what this house has to offer. If this sounds like a good fit for your family, read on for more details. BEDROOMS/SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Elk Glade has 3 king bedrooms all on the main floor, perfect for families traveling together. On the top floor is the kids' loft space, complete with 4 twin beds and 1 full. There are 3 full bathrooms – one attached to the main suite with a jacuzzi tub and large walk-in shower, the others are on the main floor and lower level. Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, shampoo, and body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap. LIVING AREAS: There are two large living spaces in this home, as well as room in the loft for the kiddos. Not to mention the multiple outdoor decks. The main living room is part of a great room area connected to the kitchen and dining room. This room features a beautiful stone fireplace, cozy recently updated furniture, and a large SmartTV for catching up on your favorite movies and shows. On the top floor is an area in the loft where kids can hang out. This space has bean bags as well as books and toys for their enjoyment. On the bottom floor is a huge game and movie room where families can gather to play shuffleboard or foosball, or curl up on the sectional (with recliners) and watch TV or a movie. We also provide plenty of games and puzzles to keep you busy. The game room also has a bar and an additional refrigerator in the laundry room to store your beverages. KITCHEN/DINING Creating and eating meals together is another way to create great family memories and the Elk Glade home provides everything you need. Our kitchen features stainless appliances, a double oven with a warming drawer, microwave, crockpot, refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers (regular and a Keurig), blender, and griddle. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. In addition, we have a full pantry with olive oil, flour, sugar, and spices to get you started. For dining, there is a dining room table that seats 8 and barstools at the kitchen counter that seat 5. Outside, there is a propane grill for your use, as well as a dining table seating 8. ENTERTAINMENT INDOORS: Our goal is to provide plenty of options for everyone to have fun and be entertained while staying at Elk Glade. The game room has shuffleboard, foosball, and a large SmartTV with DVD player, as well as a bar, games, and puzzles for all to enjoy. The main level living area has a sound system with radio and a sound bar to connect your phone and enjoy your own music. We have also added a SmartTV to this space for enjoying a show or movie upstairs. The house has high-speed internet and wifi, as well as Roku SmartTVs in each of the bedrooms. The house also has satellite TV with many family/sports/movies and local channels. For your comfort, the game room has a sectional couch that includes 4 recliners, cup-holders, and consoles. ENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS: Outside, our focus is on providing the setting for fun family memories. The back of the house has both an upper and lower deck with rocking chairs and side tables – great in the summertime, having coffee in the morning or happy hour in the afternoon, taking in the mountain air and spotting wildlife in the valley which are most commonly seen around dawn and dusk. There's a gas grill on the covered top deck for grilling no matter the season and plenty of seating around the 3 gas firepit tables. On the bottom deck is the hot tub, perfect for relaxing after skiing, hiking, or mountain biking, as well as a cornhole set for playing in the yard or on the deck. The backyard has a firepit with a stocked wood pile for smores time in winter or summer. The yard is full of trees and backs up to the green belt valley, giving kids plenty of room to play no matter the season. Picture yourself sitting in the hammock watching them play, or grabbing a sled and enjoying the properties' many hilly areas in the wintertime. The Angel Fire trail system is also just behind the house and is great for a short evening stroll or even a longer hike. The "Elk" trail is directly behind our house and can be reached by crossing the valley near the seasonal pond. This trail will connect you to the great Angel Fire trail system which runs all around town. LAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOM Entering the house from the garage you go right into our mud room/laundry room. Here there are ample hooks for coats and rubber mats for boots. We have a front-load washer and dryer with provided detergent and dryer sheets in case things get messy during your stay. There is also an area inside the front door with boot mats and a hall closet for coats so you are all set no matter where you come in. PARKING/GARAGE: When you get to the house, we have an easy sloped driveway and a garage to park your vehicle. The garage is heated so your vehicle will be toasty warm when you get in it – a great perk on cold winter mornings. Note: for your protection and ours, we have security cameras that monitor the exterior entry points: front of the house, garage, and the rear entry beyond the decks.
